How to configure a router as an Access Point

1. Connect the router to be configured as an Access Point to your computer via Wi-Fi or using
a LAN cable.

2. Access the router’s configuration page. The method to access this page may vary depending on the brand, and you must log in first. Instructions for this are provided in the user manual.

3. Once on the configuration page, enable the Access Point (AP) mode.

4. Set the IP Address. You can either allow the system to assign it automatically or manually enter an IP address. To avoid IP conflicts, it’s better to enter the IP address manually.

5. Set the Wi-Fi channel to a different one than the main router.

6. Configure the SSID and password for the Wi-Fi. It is recommended to use a different SSID than the main router to avoid confusion.

7. Connect a LAN cable from the Access Point router to the main router.

8. Connect to the Access Point router’s Wi-Fi by selecting the SSID and entering the password you just set. Your internet should now be ready to use.
