How to Check Hard Disk Errors and Clean Up

1. Check the disk status using CMD

• Open CMD.
• Type the command wmic disk drive get status, model and press Enter.

 

2. Check Errors with HD Turn

• Select the disk and click ‘Start’ to scan. Green means the drive is good; red indicates bad sectors or errors and potential data corruption.

 

3. Use tools directly within Disk

• To do this, right-click on the disk you want to check, select Properties, go to the Tools tab, and click Check. Wait for Windows to scan, and you’re done.
