How to Fix Missing Wi-Fi on Windows 11

1. Fix by troubleshooting

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Settings.
  • Choose the Systems tab on the left.
  • Look for the Troubleshoot menu on the right.
  • Select Other Troubleshooters. In the Network and Internet, click on Run.
  • See the example image below.

 

2. Network reset

  • Right-click the Start button and select Settings.
  • Choose Network & Internet from the left menu.
  • Click on Advanced network settings.
  • Select Network reset.
  • Click Reset now.
  • Restart your computer.

 

3. Run DNS Cache and netsh winsock

  • Press Windows + S or type ‘cmd’ or ‘Command Prompt’ in the search box. Right-click on ‘Command Prompt’ and select ‘Run as Administrator’.

 

  • Type these two commands (one at a time).
    • ipconfig /flushdns
    • netsh winsock reset

 

  • Restart the computer, and then try using the Wi-Fi.
