How to Force Quit in macOS With a Keyboard Shortcut

Step1: Press Command + Option + Esc on the keyboard to pull up the Force Quit Applications pop-up menu.

Use either the arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight the application you want to quit, or click the application’s name.

Step2: Press Return on the keyboard, or click the Force Quit button. When the “Do you want to force [App Name] to quit?” confirmation window appears, press Return on the keyboard or click the Force Quit button to confirm.
