How to block websites on Windows

1. Open This PC

 

2. Under the file type dropdown, select ‘All Files’. Then navigate to the folder:

• C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc select the ‘hosts’ file and click ‘Open’.

 

3. Enter the websites you want to block by using 127.0.0.1 and the URLs. For example:

• 127.0.0.1 www.google.co.th
• 127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com

 

4. When finished, go to File > click Save or Ctrl+S.

 

5. Test opening web browsers, then try accessing the specified website. If the web browsers are already open, close them and then reopen the web browsers.
