How to Fix iPhone Wi-Fi Connection Issues

Restart or shut down and power on again.

Restarting your device, whether iPhone or Android, is a classic and effective solution for fixing errors and connectivity issues like Wi-Fi problems. You can do this by using Assistive Touch or pressing the volume and side buttons to access ‘Slide to Restart,’ depending on your preference.

Check the Wi-Fi router for any abnormalities.

If devices cannot connect to Wi-Fi, check the router for issues like unusual lights or non-blinking indicators. Contact the network administrator if needed, or ensure you are within range of the router’s signal.

Turn off Wi-Fi on your iPhone and then turn it back on again.

To avoid restarting your device, simply turn off and on Wi-Fi on your iPhone. Swipe down to disable Wi-Fi and then enable it again or go to Settings > Wi-Fi to toggle it off and on.

Remove the network and reconnect.

If your iPhone can’t connect to Wi-Fi, try deleting the network by going to Settings, holding the network name, and selecting Delete. Then, turn Wi-Fi off and on again, reconnect to the network, and ensure you have the correct password.

Turn on airplane mode

Enable Airplane Mode through settings to disconnect all connections. Then, turn on Wi-Fi to reconnect to your network and disable Airplane Mode if needed. This should fix your iPhone’s Wi-Fi connectivity issue in minutes.

Reset all Wi-Fi network settings

  • Go to the Settings app – Tap General – Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone – Tap Reset – Tap Reset Network Settings – Enter the device passcode – Confirm the reset of network settings.
  • Once you have completed all the steps, enable Wi-Fi search and check if you can connect by selecting the network and entering the password.
